Welcome to my world of creativity and inclusivity. This journey is all about celebrating uniqueness and making every woman feel comfortable and fabulous in her own skin. And my way to do that is to design and make clothing that let you be YOUnique wherever you go.

As a young girl shopping with my Mom at Burdine’s I would love getting “lost” in the wedding/formal dresses… Not because I was dreaming of a magical wedding day but because I was fascinated with the fabrics, textures and structure of the dresses…. My mom taught how to sew to make Barbie’s outfits… Not a bad step.. But as I outgrew Barbie my sewing dropped off…

Fast forward to 2012… While racing my first Ironman I discovered where that love of textiles, structure and my sewing skills could actually help a lot of real women and solve a major problem! You see, I was in the BEST shape of my adult life and yet there I was crossing the finish line in a Men’s LARGE tri tank and shorts… It was the only one that fit for the nutrition company that had asked me to be an Ambassador…. I was so swept up in the energy of the day I had blocked that mental trigger but later when looking back at photos I could not believe it…. A men’s large and still my legs and stomach looked like sausages falling out of the casing!! Was it just me???

I started searching through women’s forums for triathlon and endurance sports and cycling and found nope - it’s a problem… Women were buying $200 and $300 “kits” to take them to a seamstress and have them altered - like adding snaps along waist bands so the tank top wouldn’t roll up on them. Or being told to go shop in the men’s section for bigger sizes… Even worse -no one was using COLOR or bold patterns so you could match your personality to your training and racing kits. Expand that into tennis, golf - any sport it seemed and women were having the same issues! That was 2012 and well…. It seems today things aren’t that much better.

More brands are offering “extended” sizes (ie XXL) and a few have some gorgeous patterns and styles but the reality is the sizes are skewed… Too any women I know who wear an XL top are being forced into 3X tops… When a close personal friend who is a small on a good day found she had to buy a Large I knew it was definitely an issue for more women than I had realized..

So the research began, the pattern design/adjustments and testing started and here we are…. At its core Aloha Life is a lifestyle brand for women who want to be active, competitive but comfortable, and look fabulous all at the same time! Each piece is multi-functional and some of you have found ways to incorporate the brand into your non active pursuits in ways I didn’t think of! Who said you can’t look fresh and fun going from the court or course to the clubhouse? And yes ladies you’ve convinced me - cocktailing or mocktailing is in fact a sport!

While you won’t find compression or silicone in any of our clothes you can be competitive wearing them and smile the entire time. Because really - isn’t it about time our clothes start to fit us and not us trying to fit into our clothes?

I hope you’ll love the brand as much as many of our repeat customers and I especially love to hear from you! If you’ve got an idea or something - share it!!!! We want to keep evolving with you!

Aloha!
